- HOW TO REGISTER TO PLAY THE GAME/WINNER DETERMINATION: During an Entry Period, visit the Sponsor’s “Neighborhoops” activation at the Event (the “Booth”), and locate the entry kiosk. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete and submit the registration form including verification of age eligibility, your full name, complete street address (no P.O. Boxes), email address, and phone number. You will then be provided with Game play instructions and must select your level of desired difficulty (easy, medium, or hard) and the background image you would like displayed while playing. Once you have submitted all requested information, you will be considered a “Contestant”. Registration information will only be used for the purpose of prize distribution. Registration for this Game is on a first-come, first-served basis during each Entry Period. The individual who registers must be the same individual who will compete as a Contestant in the Game. Individuals are not permitted to register on behalf of another individual or “hold a spot” for another individual should a line form during the registration process for any reason.
A member of the Booth staff will indicate to you when it is your turn to enter the Neighborhoops court, position you at the starting marker, and hand you a basketball. A demonstration animation will play on the court, highlighting the nine (9) spaces that you need to step on and the order in which they need to be stepped on. The sequence will be determined by the difficulty level. At the demonstration’s completion, you will be cued to start with a countdown. After the countdown, the Game timer will start, and you will have a maximum of 45 seconds to run between each of the nine (9) markings in the sequence in the correct order. You will not be able to move on to the next marking until you step on the previous one in proper sequence. Tiles will turn white once you’ve completed the step. Once you step on the final (9th) marker, the Game timer will stop and a 5-second shot clock will start to indicate you must shoot the ball at the basket. The ball must leave your hands before the shot clock expires for the shot to count towards your score. NOTE: the :05 shot clock timer will not count towards your final timed score, it’s intended only to give you a moment to focus on your shot. Booth staff will collect your basketball after your shot. You will receive two (2) attempts to complete the sequence at the same difficulty level, following the same process set forth above.
Each Contestant must be the “Authorized Account Holder” of the email address and mobile telephone number (if any) submitted at the time of registration. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a Contestant, the Contestant will be the registered owner of the email account or mobile telephone number at the time of registration. Limit one (1) registration per Contestant, however a Contestant may participate more than once. Multiple or duplicate registrations made by the same Contestant will be disqualified. Upon Game completion, a Contestant who desires to try again must exit the Booth and get back in line behind all others who are waiting, for another Game opportunity. Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, stolen, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, unreadable, or inaccurate registrations; (ii) errors of any kind whether mechanical, human or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Game, including, without limitation, errors or malfunctions or delays which may occur in connection with the administration of the Game or the processing of registrations; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of registration or other materials; or (iv) any printing, typographical, human, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Game. The dates of the Event are subject to change without notice. In the event the Event is cancelled for any reason, it will not be rescheduled.
Contestants participate at their own risk. Anyone can participate in playing the Game, but only those eligible by age and geography as set forth in Section 1, above, are eligible to win a prize. Elements of the Game may include inherently dangerous activity. Contestants expressly and voluntarily assume the risk of any and all injury and damage that may result from participation in any element of the Game. Each Contestant acknowledges and agrees that the Game Parties have no responsibility whatsoever for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind that result from participation in any element of the Game. Contestants and their respective successors and/or heirs each acknowledge that certain Game-related activities may be inherently dangerous and release Game Parties from any and all causes of actions that arise from such participation. Each Contestant must comply with any rules, regulations, and restrictions provided for any Game activity or additional instructions from Booth staff.
- SCORING/WINNER DETERMINATION: Each Contestant’s best time to complete the nine (9)-step sequence (“Run Time”) of the two (2) attempts will be collected. If a Contestant makes the basket at the end of their Game play, 3 seconds will be deducted from the Contestant’s Run Time. All Run Times will be compiled to a Leaderboard based on difficulty of the Game play (easy, medium, or hard). The Contestant on each of the three (3) leaderboards with the fastest Run Time during each Entry Period will each be deemed a potential winner. In the event of a tied Run Time, the Contestant who received the fastest Run Time first for the applicable Entry Period, based on Sponsor’s time stamp, will be deemed the winner. Winners will be announced at the Booth approximately 5 minutes after the end of each Entry Period. The leaderboard will be visible at the Booth during regular Event hours.
- NOTIFICATIONS/RELEASES/PRIZE CLAIMING: Contestants MUST be present to win. Each potential winner will be notified by Booth staff by verbal announcement at the Booth. Potential winners will be announced once and given five (5) minutes to present themselves to Booth staff. If a potential winner is not in attendance at the Booth at the time of winner announcement, he/she will forfeit his/her prize and the Contestant with the next-fastest time on the applicable leaderboard will be named the potential winner. Booth staff may contact Contestants who are high on the leaderboard during the applicable Entry Period to let them know their standing and encourage them to come to the Booth for the winner announcement. A potential winner must present himself/herself to Booth staff within five (5) minutes of winner announcement, after which the prize will be forfeited and the Contestant from that leaderboard with the next fastest time will be notified. Non-compliance shall result in disqualification and award of the prize to an alternate winner. A potential winner becomes the “winner” only after verification of eligibility by Sponsor. If such potential winner does not present himself/herself to Booth staff, if the potential winner is ineligible, if any notification is returned as undeliverable, or if the potential winner otherwise fails to fully comply with these Official Rules, he/she will forfeit that prize and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining Game plays repeating the process identified above. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. If, for any reason, more bona fide winners come forward seeking to claim prizes in excess of the number of prizes set forth in these Official Rules, the winner(s) of the advertised number of prizes available may be selected by comparing the Run Times of all persons making purportedly valid claims for such prize. Inclusion in such process shall be each Contestant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances. The Game Parties are not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, damaged, intercepted, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify the potential winners.
- PRIZES: There will be three (3) prizes awarded in each Entry Period, one (1) per leaderboard (easy, medium, and hard) per Entry Period: Each winner will receive one (1) signed basketball from either Caitlin Clark, Jimmy Butler, or Reggie Miller. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize is $150. There will be nine (9) total prizes awarded in the entire Game – three (3) per Entry Period. The order of prizing per day will be determined by each winner’s difficulty choice. The “Hard” difficulty winner selects their (1) one prize first, then the “medium” difficulty winner selects their (1) one prize second, and finally the “easy” difficulty winner will select the (1) one remaining prize last.
The total ARV of all prizes available in an Entry Period is $450. The total ARV of all prizes available in the Game is $1,350.
Each winner will be solely responsible for all expenses associated with the acceptance and use of the prize. Prizes will be fulfilled at the time of winner announcement. Sponsor is not responsible for a lost, stolen, or misplaced prizes. The ARV of prizes set forth above represents Sponsor’s good faith determination of the actual fair market value and as ultimately determined by Sponsor, is final and binding and cannot be challenged or appealed. In the event a stated ARV is more than the actual fair market value, the difference will not be awarded in cash or otherwise. Prizes are non-transferable; no substitutions, exchanges, or cash redemptions except by Sponsor due to unavailability in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, prizes are awarded “as-is” and the Game Parties have neither made nor are responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness. In no event will more prizes be awarded than are stated in these Official Rules.
- GENERAL: Subject to applicable law, each winner hereby expressly grants to the Game Parties and their respective successors, assigns, sublicensees and designees, the irrevocable right to use and publish his/her name, video of Game participation, social handles, likeness (photographic or simulated), voice, biography and place of residence for all purposes, including, without limitation, advertising, marketing, promotional and publicity purposes in connection with this Game (“Advertising”), in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity, without any form of notice, permission or any amount or kind of compensation, except for the awarding of the prize(s) to the winner(s). All copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights in such Advertising shall be owned by Sponsor and/or its licensors, and each winning entrant hereby disclaims and waives any claim of right to such Advertising. Such Advertising shall be solely under the control of Sponsor and/or its licensors, and each winner hereby waives any claim of control over the Advertising content as well as any possible claims of misuse of such winning recipient’s name, likeness or voice under contract, tort or any other theory of law. The Game Parties do not assume any responsibility for any disruption in the Game, including, but not limited to, the failure or interruption of any social media platform or any internet service provider. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures and other statements contained in any Game materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control. In the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Game by any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to, fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, communications or equipment failure, utility or service interruptions, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared), interference with the Game by any party, or any federal, state, or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each, a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Game or prize. If terminated, the Game Parties will award the prizes from among all non-suspect, eligible Game plays received for the Game up to the time of such action.

BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (B) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY) NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; (C) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND (D) ENTRANTS’ REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF ANY) AND ENTRANT IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF. The arbitrator’s decision and award is final and binding, with limited exceptions, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction. The parties agree that, except as set forth above, any claim, suit, action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Game shall be resolved solely by binding arbitration before a sole arbitrator under the streamlined Arbitration Rules Procedures of JAMS Inc. (“JAMS”) or any successor to JAMS. In the event JAMS is unwilling or unable to set a hearing date within fourteen (14) days of the filing of a “Demand for Arbitration”, then either party can elect to have the arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) or any other mutually agreeable arbitration administration service. If an in-person hearing is required, then it will take place in the State of Illinois. The federal or state law that applies to these Official Rules will also apply during the arbitration. Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis and will not be consolidated with any other proceedings that involve any claims or controversy of another party, including any class actions; provided, however, if for any reason any court or arbitrator holds that this restriction is unconscionable or unenforceable, then the agreement to arbitrate doesn’t apply and the dispute must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of Illinois. Sponsor agrees to pay the administrative and arbitrator’s fees in order to conduct the arbitration (but specifically excluding any travel or other costs of entrant to attend the arbitration hearing). Either party may, notwithstanding this provision, bring qualifying claims in small claims court.
